All too often, leadership is approached as a trick to learn. Go on a three-day leadership course and *bam*, you are a leader!

 

But leading a team of experienced data scientists is very different from leading a team of young hungry sales tigers.

Leading a team in good times is different from leading a team through adversity and lay-offs.

Leading person A is different from leading person B.

Leading at mid-management level is different from leading from the C-suite.

 

In leadership coaching, we look together at your personal challenges. At who you are as a leader and how you can stand strong in any situation. 

 

I will not try to make you fit a certain leadership type or style. We don’t have to change you. You are good enough as you are. 

We will bring out the best in you, so you can lead the best way you can.

Coaching is always personal. So we will look at you. 

 

At who you are and what you want. 

At what your values are, and your beliefs. 

At who was and is important in your life. 

And how that all influences how you behave and react.

And whether some of that needs adjusting.

 

From my expertise in cognitive behavioural psychology, we will analyse your behavioural constructs and the thoughts that are paired with them. Do they serve you, or is it time to adjust them? Practical exercises and real life empirical experiments will bring us to your solution.

And from my background in positive psychology, we will not look to fix what’s broken.

Rather, we will look at how we can use your strengths, talents, and everything you are to deal with whatever life throws at you. Because when you operate from a position of authenticity, your happiness and success is more sustainable.

While self-development is inherently personal, there are huge benefits to learning in a cohort.

Working life presents some challenges unique to women. A male-dominated industry, a pay-gap, and expectations about their role in the home-life, are just a few.

I have researched these challenges, I have written about these challenges, and I have worked with many women to conquer these challenges.

 

And while I agree that there are societal constructs that need to fundamentally change, I am doing my part by supporting women in their personal quest to a fulfilling career and life.
